[SOLVED] FUBAR: Removed GNU C Library (glibc)

In my quest to ABS-build any new updates Pacman throws at me, I tried building new kernel-headers & glibc. When I tried installing my built kernel-headers, it complained about "pacman -U" not being supported yet, to used "-Rd" then "-U", & that it conflicted with the new glibc. So I "-Rd''d the existing kernel-header package & tried again, getting the same message. So I tried "-Rd"ing the existing glibc package: now I cannot execute any basic commands (ls, mv, pacman, etc.) though "cd" works. Is there a way to get glibc reinstalled (something like chroot-ing from a LiveCD?) to salvage my system or is a full reinstall my only option?

FYI, my system is a headless CLI server (no X) that I usually SSH into. I do have a monitor & keyboard that I can hook up for direct access.

boot from a live CD, mount your drive, "pacman -r /mnt/path -S glibc"

I generally use it to mean "@!!# up", "sink", or "trash".

Oh I see. It goes back to the prohibition days.
I've never heard that expression before. Thanks smile
