tweeked udev now no keyboard at login screen :(

i think i might have broken my install by tweeking my /lib/udev/load-modules.sh  found in option 1 and 2 here -> http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Speedup_udev

now when i reach the login screen (SLiM) i am unable to use the keyboard.  the keyboard works fine at grub.  is there any way to repair my system with a live cd?

This is if you run slim by choosing runlevel 5 in /etc/inittab. Then you just need to log in to runlevel 3. You can do that by adding the number 3 at the end of the kernel line in you grub menu.lst. How to do that? In grub, press e over the line you want to boot.
Then you'll be able to fix you problem from the command line.

bingo! that did the trick ... once i was able to get into terminal i swapped out my /lib/udev/load-modules.sh with the backup one i created before i made the changes to it.

thank you!  big_smile
