Changing font family in TeX (texmaker)

Ok I keep a lot of Japanese notes as .tex. I have an environment that allows me to write english, romanian (native language) and Japanese. It all works great apart from one thing, japanese is written with a Mincho font family, I want gothic, it's more readable. I'm not that good with these types of TeX settings, can anyone help?
How do I set a gothic Japanese font family?

I don't know about the gothic Japanse font family, but the easiest general approach is to install texlive-fontsextra and then chose a font from the Latex Font Catalogue (there are usage instructions for each font). I hope that helps.

Maybe you should look into using truetype fonts in latex. Those pages seem interesting:

Thanks again, but that seems like way too much to do for a font...I'll just stick to Mincho I guess...unless anyone knows a way to do this without spending 2 hours fidling with files.

We need some more information. What are using plain TeX, LaTeX or something different? What are using for japanese, CJK?

Using CJK + texlive + texmaker. Works fine now, all I needed was to change the CJKfamily to goth.
