hey guys my songbird keeps crashing after i use shoutcast for a mere 10 seconds the whole thing seems to crash and i get ...The window "Songbird" is not responding. It belongs to the application songbird (Process ID = 4760, hostname = localhost).
Do you wish to terminate the application process including all of its child windows?
Any unsaved data will be lost.
then i HAVE to terminate it, has anyone else had this problem? please let me know if you need any more information. I use Arch linux KDE (the updated version) songbird was running very smoothly up until yesterday, but i have not made any changes to the program or my computer.
thanks a milli!

few questions:
1. does this happen with all streams, all shoutcast streams or only that particular stream? Which stream is it?
2. how did you install songbird?
3. try starting songbird form a terminal and see if any messages are dropped as the application crashes

Precisely the very same problem here.
It is probably related to some upgrade we have done because it was working great up to about a week ago. ![]()

Li,
That was an AUR package.
I'll check if there is a new update there but I think that the problem is not Songbird but something else.
