[SOLVED] MLA and code citation

Hello.
I am writing a paper and I want to cite some code from the kernel.
Code is a primary document, but I can't find information on how to cite it in MLA format anywhere.
How should I cite code?

While I'm afraid I have nothing useful to offer you, I do have sympathies, many of them

Citations suck, and this is an example of why: the rules must be followed EXACTLY, and strict rules don't cover edge cases.
