I therefore pledge that if I'm ever working on software other people might want to run, I will only do it on 10-year-old hardware. Who's with me?

Sort of why I like the terminal so much. Console apps tend to be pretty fast. I'm trying to start a casino suite type of thing in my local LUG as a group programming effort, and although I want it to run in X and look good, speed and a low amount of dependencies are important to me.

My local lug here in pdx and the couv are a bunch of monkeys, lucky you.

I avoid them like the plague...

/edit    Well I dreamily yet thoroughly believed cactus would  assimilate them but he failed like all the tacolover  takeovers ;(
