Last full system upgrade was yesterday noon, and no problem.
Today after full sys upgrade (xorg and ati drivers included) my KDM bootsplash theme shows black screen and kDE icons display strangely.

Τry to login without xorg.conf. (and also read the ATi wiki page on wiki.archlinux.org)

Wiki... Yes, i've read it several times at the time I had to set up an xorg.conf !!
I'm using free drivers and no xorg.conf since it's no more necessary...

OK problem solved after a rebuild of initramfs (mkinitcpio -p kernel26), KMS enabled or not. ![]()
(maybe smthg related to plymouth ??)
