Video Splitting?

Has anyone ever come across something like this?
It splits video files into multiple files without any quality loss.  I tried avidemux, but that reencodes the files to split (killing the quality).

If not, looks like I might have to brush the dust off that windows partition. Norton is going to be pissed.

Re: Video Splitting?

Transcode provides avisplit which appears to do the job - tho I haven't used it so can't comment on how well it works.

Re: Video Splitting?

Avidemux doesn't reencode, unless you want it to. I've split, merged and cut plenty of avi files with it. Just leave all settings unchanged. On some files you have to use "Build VBR Timemap" or "rebuild frames (I & B)" to prevent audio/video desync and keep the stream seekable, that's all.

Re: Video Splitting?

I guess I should take another look at it.  I assumed it couldn't because I didn't see any way to not reencode and no one in their irc channel knew how.

Re: Video Splitting?

Okay, how I managed to not see how to do that before is beyond reason.  Finally, I can get rid of those annoying ads.

Thanks again for pointing that out.
