[SOLVED] How do I spec xterm to start with ttf-liberation mono 8 font?

I've installed liberation font from the repos but I can't seem to get xterm to start using.
I've tried:

xterm -font liberation mono -fs 8
xterm -fn liberation mono -fs 8
xterm -font 'liberation mono' -fs 8
xterm -fn 'liberation mono' -fs 8

but none works.  How should I be doing this?

Use "-fa". "-fn" is for X core fonts.

Thanks man.  You have no idea how much time I've spent trying to figure it out.
