MPD, entropy, hddtemp, wifi, volume... almost all xD in Vicious. I've tried with this configs: http://git.sysphere.org/vicious/ but always get a lot of errors, maybe because i'm totally n00b with Awesome .
And maybe you or anyone can share your *.lua with those widgets activated and guide me a little bit .

I suggest spending some time looking over the awesome wiki, particularly this page on vicious

I always feel like my desktop is so crap compared to all of yours

There's my desktop, I call it the "Ride The Lightning" theme (yes I am a Metallica fan)
Just plain old KDE, I keep putting off trying a tiling window manager(my most recent is excuse is that my monitor doesn't support high resolutions)
