Re: I created "Pacmenu" if anyone is interested

Version 1.4 does the work. I was worried about the time delay of category option, but you managed to handle it. Good work tigger, and thanks to apeiro!!

A couple small tweaks still needed as reported by apeiro and rasat.

Once I get 1.5 out, I'll take some screen shots and post them.

Re: I created "Pacmenu" if anyone is interested

I am looking into adding a description option to it but it isn't ready at this time.

Whatever ends up being the easiest way to implement will be the way I do it - lol.

Re: I created "Pacmenu" if anyone is interested

I don't see why people are so up tight about gui style wrappers being made for pacman.. I mean I'm as CLI as it gets but pacmenu just shaved ALOT of time off me finding a bunch of packages I didn't need on my server.  big_smile

Keep up the good work on this one.

Re: I created "Pacmenu" if anyone is interested

It would be nice to add the "Pacman Dependency Tree" script by skoal, to pacmenu.

With pacmenu select the packages to view dependency tree. DPtree doesn't show multiple selection (e.g. "pacdep.sh cups gimp zlib"), take a look at pacmanDeps by Spider.007.

Re: I created "Pacmenu" if anyone is interested

I asked Tigger if I can modify pacman, fix few things and add a database. Here is Pacmenu-2.0 using sqlite.
