[Solved] Impossible to install AUR package

Hi !
I tried to install firefox-beta (3.6b1) from the AUR Packages, but it doesn't work. I get this error message:

==> Compilation et installation du paquetage
nice: makepkg: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
Error: Makepkg n'a pas pu construire le paquetage firefox-beta.

comm: fichier 1 n'est pas dans l'ordre attendu
/usr/bin/yaourt: line 885: testdb : commande introuvable

I got the same kind of error with different packages.
Anyone has an idea ?
Thanks !

Re: [Solved] Impossible to install AUR package

I can't read the error message, but have you tried building it yourself instead?

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

I will try to translate the error message:

==> Compilation et installation du paquetage
nice: makepkg: No file or directory of this type
Error: Makepkg can't build the package firefox-beta.

comm: file 1 is not in order
/usr/bin/yaourt: line 885: testdb : command not found

What do you mean by "building it yourself" ? How do I do that ?

Re: [Solved] Impossible to install AUR package

My french isn't great, but it seems like part of the problem is that it can't find `testdb', which is part of pacman.  Maybe re-install pacman?  pacman -Sf pacman.

Thanks. I don't know why, but I didn't have the lastest version of pacman... Now it works. Thank you !
