yaourt -Sybu - What does it do and why it doesn't work?

AFAIK yaourt -Sybu updates and builds packages. But I can't get it to work. I always get this error: *name of the package*m wasn't found on abs repos.archlinux.org.
I do have abs working, though I never actually tried to build anything using it.
Also is it worth it? Are there any real differences between normal way of installing/upgrading it and doing it through abs?

Thanks in advance.

The b tells it to to build using abs, instead of grabbing from the repos. The error can be caused by two things. Either your abs tree is empty/out of date, or the package isn't in it in the first place.

Sure you ain't looking for -Syu --aur ?

repos.archlinux.org switched from ViewVC to Websvn, yaourt needs to be updated to handle that. You can grab a patch from this post: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=82595, or install yaourt-abs, also discussed in that thread.
