How Can I Play MP4 Videos in Firefox

I am using Firefox 3.5.4 on Arch64 and playing HTML5 OGV videos works perfectly but MP4 videos are not loading at all. On the page below the two ogv videos work fine but the two mp4 videos don't load. Can other people see the mp4 videos and if so what extra packages did you need to install?

You can install gecko-mediaplayer from the community repository.

Interesting; my objective is actually to make a site which uses HTML5-based videos. I guess I'll go with ogv since it seems it works natively in Firefox 3.5.

If you're intension is to "future proof" your site, you may want to do some research first on where things are heading. All codecs were dropped from the HTML5 specification. Like everything else in computing, the patent minefield has prevented any standard from arising:
