Hello,
I cannot find gcc-libs in /var/abs.
I synced directly from ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/$repo/os/x86_64.
Bug?

Look in the gcc package. It is now split.
So not a bug and maybe a bug at the same time... There should be some way to directly locate the PKGBUILD.

I was/am confused again .
Because "pacman -Qi gcc-libs" should show in case of a split package smth like "Base: gcc " and it doesn't.
Have I missed something again?

Nope, but you seem to have made up something... pacman -Qi has never shown that.

At least the the PKGBASE should be in the gcc-libs desc file, but it isn't.

It would be useful if "pacman -Qi" shows this quite important info (I mean Base: ....).
PS: Huh?
There are two different desc files. In /var/lib/pacman/sync/core/gcc-libs-<...>/desc
there is a %BASE% entry...
