Manually populating x86 cache in ~/.fontconfig?

In order to run certain native 32-bit apps in 64-bit Arch, in addition to the lib32-* joy, there must be x86 caches in the ~/.fontconfig file. My personal ~/.fontconfig file has two such entries, but apparently they aren't sufficient since the apps I'm trying to make work (Renoise-2.1.0) still segfaults when run. I'm fairly certain it is a libfontconfig issue, so my question is, is there some way to manually populate the 32-bit font caches in ~/.fontconfig in Arch64?

Extra junk:

Thread on the specific program I'm trying to run (I don't want to install wine just to make 1 program work)

Edit: by using the workaround detailed in the link I provided, I was able to get renoise-2.1.0. Basically, I installed bin32-wine with yaourt and then ran 'wine iexplore'. Now, my ~/.fontconfig is like this:

Many more x86 caches! But the question still stands, could these caches have been loaded a simpler and better way? To install wine and all it's dependencies is very much overkill just to get these caches and make 1 app work.
