A few things I noticed:
Holy Hell! Firefox sure does struggle with that pic when scrolling sideways... and I've got a very quick Intel box..
The monochrome rtorrent looks out of place. You can enable colors for torrents based on status.
Interesting IRC conversation going on there
Information overload! I couldn't handle a similar setup ages ago. Now I'm down to one screen (max 3 frames/apps visible at any one time) and my ADD has been cured
But nice choice in apps though
I actually have that rtorrent patch installed, but whatever color I choose, it just looks... off. You'll notice that my active torrents are bold.
I wasn't really paying a lot of attention to irc when I took that screenshot
Meh, I don't have a problem handling the screens, sometimes I try to do too many things at once and I overload and can't concentrate for the rest of the day, but that only rarely happens, a couple times a year tops.

Your Vimperator-enhanced Firefox looks gorgeous. How do you manage to have your tab names at the windows' bottom edge?
BTW, /me is patching his rtorrent...

@boily
if you read really carefully, you would have seen buftabs.js in column 3 of his looooong shot.

Could you please post where did you get the wallpaper from?
Or maybe provide the wallpaper?
It looks awesome!

Could you share the plasma theme that you used?
Thanks!

Yeah, np. The theme is actually Glassified. I don't normally use it (though I like it quite a bit) but it seems to go real well with this dark background. Oh, and I think it's in the AUR too.

My desktop is suddenly much prettier (and snappier, thanks to urxvtd).
Updated dirty:
http://omploader.org/tMnBobAVery nice!
What color schemes are you using for vim and konsole?
The color scheme for vim is Molokai.
The terminal is urxvt with the following colors in .Xdefaults:
! Black
*color0: #262729
*color8: #554444
! Red
*color1: #F92671
*color9: #F92671
! Green
*color2: #A6E22E
*color10: #A6E22E
! Yellow
*color3: #FD971F
*color11: #FD971F
! Blue
*color4: #66D9EF
*color12: #66D9EF
! Magenta
*color5: #9E6FFE
*color13: #9E6FFE
! Cyan
*color6: #5E7175
*color14: #A3BABF
! White
*color7: #F8F8F2
*color15: #F8F8F2
It's a slightly modified version of a color scheme I found via DaisukeAramaki. I was using the same theme in Konsole for a while; color0 here is Konsole's color 1, color8 is Konsole's color 1 (intense), and so on.
Konsole doesn't use bold text, though, so I don't think it looks as good. (That was actually one of the reasons I switched back to urxvt, along with Konsole's resizing by pixels instead of characters.)

Info:
Wallpaper: vladstudio
WM: xmonad-darcs, with xmonad-contrib-darcs. FadeInactive set to 60% produces great contrast.
Other: xmobar - default config.

Oh, thank you!
It certainly looked like Glassified, by it (apparently wrong) that it had more sharp edges when it came to taskbar entries
