There's a script that streams Youtube .MP4 through HTML5. Too bad only Safari supports .MP4 <video> right now.

Too bad that Epiphany WebKit has no User.JS script support (the only setback for me to, finally, leave FF.
P/s: Epiphany Gecko and Midori have a partial support for User.JS scripts.

to add another one: ytmp (aur) will scan your network for youtube links and then open up mplayer to view it. can also prompt the user to download the video. And it works for vimeo too.
