Dolphin In KDE

I am having KDE and also gnome desktops.

DOlphin file manager was working properly but suddenly now it stopped working in KDE. If I click the icon it just swings near the mouse for some time and nothing comes. Previously immediately after I click it used to come. But in gnome it still opens.

Can any one tell me what can be done.

Re: Dolphin In KDE

Update your system:

pacman -Syyu

Then open it from a terminal and post the errors here.

I did that in the command line
$dolphin
(next lin blank with cursor blinking)

But in gnome when i use dolphin in command line it immediately opens in few seconds showing some information in terminal.

Re: Dolphin In KDE

Try to use strace. It's available in [extra]:

$ strace /usr/bin/dolphin

It might give you an idea where the process is hanging.

Good ideas do not need lots of lies told about them in order to gain public acceptance.

Thats great. I never knew about that command. Before this mail, after few reboots dolphin started working. I dont know the reason.

Please can you share some more useful commands for command tracking.
