NTFS äöüß... problem

Hi,
i read a lot of different posts about the Umlaute problem with mounting ntfs partitions but still found no solution, hope one of you out there can help me.

In the end I used the following /etc/fstab entry
/dev/sdc1 /media/USB_HDD ntfs-3g auto,users,locale=de_DE.utf8 0 0

And the /etc/rc.conf entry for locale is
LOCALE="de_DE.utf8"

The command locale -e returns:
[root@foobar andre]# locale -a
C
POSIX
de_DE
de_DE.iso88591
de_DE.iso885915@euro
de_DE.utf8
de_DE@euro
deutsch

And everything works fine, if using "xterm -u8", but of cause I would like to use Dolphin, konsole and so on to copy files,
but I get an error message
[root@foobar USB_HDD]# touch äöü
touch: kann »äöü« nicht berühren: Ungültiges oder unvollständiges Multi-Byte- oder Wide-Zeichen

Any hints what I could do to get the whole thing working? I would be very thankful!

Thanks in advance!
