USB DSL modem

It is just my passing infomation to you just in case anybody need it.
mine is 0572:cb00
in order for this to work with Archlinux I had to
-copy from the debian tree : /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.4 directory to the archlinux : /usr/lib/pppd/
-copy the files cxacru-bp.bin and cxacru-fw.bin to the /lib/firmware directory
-copy a  file named say DSL with proper configurations to the /etc/ppp/peers directory in order to use ppp daemon with the cxacru kernel driver which must be selected in kernel configuration
-edit pap-secrets file in the /etc/ppp directory with the acount details.
all the above steps can be searched for in the internet starting from the site http://accessrunner.sourceforge.net  , but the most tricky thing that one should be aware of is the first directive about the changes in the /usr/lib/pppd dirctory since the ppp package seems to have been suitably modified in Debian distribution to accomodate for  the use of this modem . I have not been able to  find any  such modification in other branches of linux distributions
