What distro were you using before Arch ?

Hello to everybody. I'm pretty new to the forum and this is actually my second post.
I am fairly new to linux and considered giving it a try about 2 weeks ago or so. I wanted a distro that I could learn a lot from and not something that's easy to configure and just works, like ubuntu or similar distro's. Did a little research and found a lot of people saying how great Arch is, so I decided to try it myself. Before installing it though, I first installed Slackware and played with it for about a day or so. I said to myself I'll choose either Slackware or Arch, despite what some people saying that Slackware nor Arch is for newbies.
I didn't manage to completely install Arch the first time though. For a reason or another it took me I think 3 or 4 times to actually get it working and configure a desktop environment(I was going with KDE at that time). In the process I learned some new stuff that I didn't knew about linux, and I think that was a reason why I chose to stay with Arch. The community is great, I found friendly and good support on #archlinux @ freenode, and the wiki has almost everything I could of asked for.
A few days ago I installed OpenBox. Still configuring...
I probably went a bit off-topic, sorry about that. So anyways, my first distro: Archlinux smile
