Size of the whole archive

Does anyone has an idea of the size of the whole archlinux archive (I mean core + extra + community for i686)?

I would like to have a local copy of it in order to be able to install packages without being forced to update a bunch of library at every install. I do not like to update my system too often (because, each time I update I have to spend quite a lot of time to solve the problems that arises)

Those problems usually only occur when you update infrequently in my experience.
