hey,
i'm concerned about pgp-encryption and would like to know, why all the mainstream distributions (i used ubuntu for a while) still don't use the modular version 2 gnupg by default until now.
does anybody know a reason for this decision? and, is there a reason to still use v1 on arch?
i did also use v2 on ubuntu in the past and am now configuring it on arch.
now on arch, after installing the v2 package, the ~/.gnupg/ dir got created, but without configs in there.
why?
also all the other system-wide configs where not existing, and gpgconf was claiming about that.
I did create the files manualy with touch, now gpgconf does not claim that their not existing, but --apply-defaults does not write anything in there.
what is the standard way to get gpg2 working on arch? i checked the wiki and forum, but didn't find the answers i'm searching for.
could somebody help me out?
