Hi all,
I just upgraded to a Phenom II X4 955 but I can't make lm_sensors to detect my cpu temperatures. Any workarounds?

i don't think there's a specific k10 temp module, i remember when i got my phenom not long ago, i was looking for the same thing, i remember reading something about the temp probes being unreliable or something to code a specific temp module. the k8temp module works i believe, how reliable it is though, may vary
either way, its not really a problem for me, I'm using an asus board, so the asus_atk0110 module gives me everything i need

I finally installed the k10temp module from aur and I can watch the cpu temp (not for each core, but better than nothing). The value reported seems reasonable and in accordance with the BIOS.

oh cool, there's a k10temp module? good to know, but like i said, i have the asus module that gives me that and then some
but here's the lm_sensors sheet i was looking at that noted the k10 sensors being unreliable. though maybe thats the early phenoms?

I started using k10temp a while back. I was sceptical about the readings that I was getting, but Slammer64 told me that the numbers were consistent with what Windows was reading. This is the thread:
