Greetings everyone.
I'm having some trouble configuring my multifunction printer with Arch Linux. I followed what was said in the CUPS wiki page, and I had no success..
My USB doesn't get detected by CUPS. I used the web interface provided by CUPS and the gnome-cups-* applications to try to detected my printer.
I can't neither get it to print, neither get info about its ink levels using mtking, escputil or stylus-toolbox.
I'll post my lpinfo -v, lsusb and dmesg ouputs.
lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 04b8:082f Seiko Epson Corp. Stylus DX4050
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
lpinfo -v:
network ipp
network socket
network http
network smb
direct scsi
file cups-pdf:/
network lpd
dmesg
usb 2-6: USB disconnect, address 2
usblp0: removed
usb 2-6: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
usb 2-6: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 3 if 1 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04B8 pid 0x082F
usb 2-6: usbfs: interface 1 claimed by usblp while 'usb' sets config #1
usb 2-6: usbfs: interface 1 claimed by usblp while 'usb' sets config #1
usb 2-6: usbfs: interface 1 claimed by usblp while 'usb' sets config #1
Please give shed me some light so I can solve this problem... Notice that I've been googling for a solution, but without success...
All I can hope for now, is your help...
David
