Two soundcards and ALSA

Hi. I have to soundcards creative x-fi usb 5.1 and hda intel in my laptop. I`m using 4.1 speakers with x-fi. Asoundrc configure only 2.1 speakers beacuse default card was hda-intel and my laptop has 2.1 speakers. Someone has config for 4.1 speakers?? And when i turn off x-fi, hda-intel will be play good with config for 4.1 speakers?? or i must do script or something?? laptop has 2.1.

/etc/asound.state

Now in x-fi and hda-intel are playing 2.1 speakers. I need in x-fi 4.1 and hda-intel 2.1.

Now when i turn off (default) x-fi i haven;t sound. Programs show hda-intel but sound is off and alsamixer doesn't work.

Did you get the X-fi to work? I have one and would like to know how you got it to work.

I have a 5.1 surround sound system, if I have to, I can disable my onboard. It's a desktop with built in sound. I have pulseaudio running.

default was hda-intel but i change to x-fi.

This worked for ALSA and Pulseaudio. Except I put in in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf

If anyone is interested, I got some help on getting this card working with OSS4
