Forum Opinion/Advice

Hello people, can you help me out with this problem?

I am looking to integrate a forum into an existing website. Only in terms of style, not universal login, what not. So, style, and main navigation menu only ;D

This isn't a question of _how_ to do it, as that depends on the forum type. This is a question of what forum architecture should I go for, that will make integration easy or easier anyway.

The current site architecture is base around codeignitor, with seperate files for header and footer. The header also contains the navigation menu/structure, naturally.

So, do you know any forum architectures that are easy to play around with? At the moment I am considering the infamous phpbb and the less well heard of, fluxbb  (after I saw the little 'Powered by FluxxBB' in the corner of THIS forum).

Re: Forum Opinion/Advice

fluxbb is the "successor" of punbb.   So not that unheard of.

Anyway, most forums are set-up so you can put your own style/header on them.

Re: Forum Opinion/Advice

MyBB, while heavier than both PunBB and phpbb, is very easy to get started with and feature rich.
