The thing is that my pc hangs at startup when udev (146-2) is loading, for 3-4 mins, after that it tells me somethin like "/sys/devices/.../host1/target1:.." ( ~ 20 rows) . With udev 141-5 this was not happening, so I downgraded but there are some apps that require >=udev 146 ... So what can I do to fix this?

For now, downgrade the other apps. That's what I did. The udev bug has been reported, but it's not clear that the udev developers are taking it seriously.
Edit: search for the bug in http://bugs.archlinux.org/, and vote for it.

Ok, I'm reopening my old post because this bug: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/16001?pr … &pagenum=2 isn't fixed and I don't know what to do.
I had to reinstall arch and right now I have udev 141-5 also I've downgraded hal because of it. But when I try to install gnome (!pow) I get this:
resolving dependencies...
warning: ignoring package udev-146-2
warning: cannot resolve "udev>=145", a dependency of "gstreamer0.10-base"
warning: ignoring package udev-146-2

:: devicekit-power: requires udev>=146

Is there another solution instead of installing older packages from gnome?
Thank you
