librsvg-devel Where?

Hi All,

Looking for the development packages for librsvg, anyone know where to find them? They are not in pacman or AUR.

Cheers,
Bernie

Re: librsvg-devel Where?

Ubuntu/Debian habits eh wink.

Arch doesn't split out headers etc. A quick forum search would have given you topics like this.

Re: librsvg-devel Where?

Actually I did see that post and it doesn't help. The -devel versions of libraries in other distros include the headers. That post did not reference the headers only libs.

I need the headers for librsvg. Are you saying that when I get the latest version of librsvg that the headers are included?

If not, then it would be useful to know where to get them.

PS: Why has this post been moved to the "Newbie" corner, I am not that new .. hmm

Cheers,
Bernie

Re: librsvg-devel Where?

From the question, you are obviously new to Arch, hence the moving of this thread.

Anyway

Re: librsvg-devel Where?

Thanks that was helpful.

Well, I have run Arch for 4 months so I suppose I am relatively new ....  although 4 months in the computer industry is an age, it's all relative ... roll

but also, I have been using Linux for 15 years, so am not a "Newbie" in that regard. I don't consider asking for -devel files a "newbie" question, it is usually folk that are compiling/programming that ask for the headers. Most other distros have split them out to *-devel packages .... now that I know you include them with every package I am much wiser tongue
