Unified login accross the site.

Currently we have 4 services which require login, wouldnt it be great if 1 login would service them all? How possible is this?

I lamented this same fact. Wiki, Flyspray, Forums, and AUR. Unfortunately, it might not be possible given that it's gone on for so long that some login names may be taken by different people in the different areas. But let's wait for someone who knows the answer to respond, I guess.

It'd been requested ages ago, so it's in the tracker, and will be actioned whenever the appropriate dev(s) have the time and interest. If anyone wants to help out, projects.archlinux.org has the required code.

I've had plans to implement something like this for ages (even before I joined the dev team). There's also a bug report requesting openID. The problem with both is that its an insane amount of work for a small payoff, and I have a lot of more pressing issues to focus on.

Thought about this too, just having one server dedicated for user information.  The possibilities be nice, like knowing a trusted user edited a wiki page, e.g..

I might be willing to work on it, or at least help out the guys who are assigned to it. Seems like linking up the 4 separate databases is impossible but using OpenID would work. How would I go about getting to helping the guys who are working on this? http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/10703 - Bug report
