Synaptics Multi-touch Kinetic Scrolling Driver?

Hi all,

Having used my eeepc for a while I thought that it might be quite a nice idea to make the most of the multi-touch capabilities of the touchpad.

I've searched around and found an effort in the ubuntu forums:
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.p … 09310.html

Wouldn't it be nice to have it compiled and packaged under AUR?
I'm going to look at the code... though my inexperience with linux drivers mayn't make my attempt very fruitful.

I just tried compiling his code. It doesn't seem to compile. Wait for him to stabilize his code, and then it looks like you can just make a synaptics-kinetic package in the AUR.

Edit: Oh, and by the way, this post should really have been under the AUR requests forum.
