[Strangely solved]Qt3 and font issue?

Hi,
I've been running thru EDA apps and found ktechlab, which probably perfectly suits my needs for now. One thing about it: it's completely unusable because of the squares shown instead of normal fonts. Take a look:

The same thing happens when i run qt3config and set Sans serif fonts and in similar programs to that one (qt).

Any ideas? I installed (i think i did) all standard fonts like bitstream vera, dejavu, artwiz, etc.

Do you have qtconfig? Try selecting a different GUI style or qt theme.  I vaguely recall that I had a font display problem when using one of the themes.  I'm using Openbox.

Of course, I recall most things of the recent past vaguely.

Edit: repeating myself.

Re: [Strangely solved]Qt3 and font issue?

I do have qtconfig - look at qt3config in first post.

I've accidentally managed to cope with this - I was messing with Xorg settings changing XAA to EXA acceleration and I checked ktechlab and freshly installed netwmpager (which also showed crappy fonts). Fonts are fine now, but I've got no idea what caused the problem. If anybody has any idea, post it, maybe someone will make use of this.
