[solved]Chromium

I have tried to install the chromium browser in
yaourt didn't work
I looked at the AUR and I am not too sure about which files to download.
So is there an easier way to get chromium?

I use chromium-browser-bin from yaourt. Installs/updates quick, have had no problems.

how didn't yaourt work? errors? what are you tried to install? more details please.

i suggest to install chromium-browser-bin via yaourt or downloading the tarball from aur, extract and makepkg -i

well yaourt seemed to take ages,I left and  came half an houir and there was no progress

I think you tried to install the chromium-svn package, which would take ages to compile.

I am installing chromium-browser-bin
and I am at this stage: seems to be taking a long time as well

What's happening is that yaourt opens the PKGBUILD for you in vi(m) for editing. type ":wq" to actually download and install the package

If you are having trouble with chromium you could try google-chrome-dev, basically the same with different color icons

is there a way to download chromium with pacman?
yaourt and i don't get on.

edit:it's fine now,I chose not to edit the install file
gosh I am such a noob

finally some real speed!
