Audio playback device HDA INTEL (ALC 662 analog) does not work, failing back to default.

Try setting the "default" output device on the top of the list in System Settings >Multimedia > Device Preference.

It's kde.

It's kde.
Yes, so do what svnieuwe suggested. Set the backend to xine. Make sure you have xine:
pacman -S phonon-xine

It's kde.
And svnieuwe's directions are for kde.
If you use the xine phonen-backed, you won't have the "default" option, you can try switching the phonon backend to gstreamer instead and following svnieu's directions. For some time, I've had that error being reported, but my sound has always worked anyway, so I don't really care.

Had the same problem, now switched to phonon-mplayer, everything works. Actually it worked before, just showed that annoying error every time loged in.

I have the same problem. I get a similar error from Phonon at login about my HDA Analog failing, falling back to HDMI. Sound still works with everything from MPlayer to Amarok and the test button in SysSettings->Multimedia, but the KDE notification sounds fail.
I tried all the Phonon backends with no success so far, GStremer doesn't work at all but the others work with the test button and in Dragon Player (known user of Phonon, I think).
I'm on KDEmod so it isn't just a problem with straight Arch KDE.
