-1 for picasa .. its after all a windows application using wine. anyone can do it better.

you got gwenview, digikam

you got fbv (for the terminal)

'feh' is also a good very simple (the simplest) image browser, looks like the 'xterm' version for 'konsole'..
very simple

you can search in the AUR anyway.
