Thanks, I hadn't read that yet. I can't wait for the Gnome 2.4 release on the 10th and there are some very interesting features coming to future Gnome releases. I really like the direction Gnome is headed.

Well I just started using Gnome recently and I'm really enjoying it. I didn't know it was so smooth.
I like KDE also but I think it's beginning to get too bloated, IMHO!
Just a thought.

Yeah, I do agree that KDE is getting a bit bloated, I really don't like integrated web browser and file manager(reminds me too much of winblows). The problem generally is that not many people know a lot of the things that Gnome can do, like someone was completely amazed that I have a transparent bar running along the bottom of my screen with icons to launch apps. I really hope 2.4 continues to provide a great desktop environment.
