MPD blocks

Hi

I'm doing the following:

mpd --stdout --verbose --no-daemon --create-db mpd.conf

At a moment it holds on doing nothing (no cpu usage whatsoever) with the output:

## many "added/update" lines here
database: removing empty directories from DB
database: sorting DB
database: writing DB

What could be causing this?

--create-db cause this?
I run --create-db only once. Is that your usual method to start mpd?

Re: MPD blocks

Me too, the time I was doing that I was at the configuration step for mpd.

Anyway, creating the db really took THAT long (10+ minutes).

There was no problem at all. Only my patience. Thread closed.

Re: MPD blocks

just for info: the --create-db switch is deprecated.. use your clients update function
