Could we please add something about actually reading at least the OP when replying to a thread? There seems to be an increasing number of people posting replies which obviously show that they didn't even bother, such as asking questions which have been clearly answered, suggesting a solution which has already been tried or providing other "help" that clearly doesn't apply.
It might also be time to organize the article into general principles such as "stay on topic", "be respectful", etc as it currently feels like a semi-random list.
Before anyone says it, I can't do it myself as that article is locked. If someone wants to promote my wiki status then I will do it, but I think I would need to be much more active on the wiki to justify that.

Soooo you think that people who don't read the forum thread are going to read a wiki article and behave the way you want them?

Noooot really but, much as when the other rules are broken, at least then you can quickly post a link to the wiki. The article also forbids trolling yet I doubt many expect trolls to read that and then decide against trolling.
I think in most cases though, at least within the Arch community, once you've been asked to read the article on etiquette due to having broken it, you'll be less apt to break it again.

Having read the topic, and no posts in this thread, I assume this thread is about forum etiquette!
The forks go on the left side, and from small to large as you work your way to the right (from outside towards the plate). Generally the salad fork on the far left, then the entrée fork to its right (but still on the left side).
The right side of the plate has the knife and the spoon (again working from smaller to larger as you work your way in). So the spoon is on the far right, and the knife to its left.
Utensils on the outermost position are generally used before their 'closer in' counterparts.
(salad fork)(entrée fork)[plate](knife)(spoon)
Sometimes you will even see a butter knife, or a crab fork, placed above the plate!
Also, no elbows on the table, and don't slurp your soup.
** Note: Apparently a few countries switch sides with regard to knife/fork placement!

Is running out the door proper etiquette? Eh? Eh? Eh?
I, in my very round - thus mighty - post, having perused the topic, show my wholehearted support for the OP's notion.

@cactus
I must say that I am woefully disappointed by thy blatant ignorance of formal table etiquette. Thou hast quite obviously never actually eaten tacos and I hereby label thee a charlatan in the art of taco appreciation, wherefore I have also chosen to thou thee. Enjoy thy utensils.
@Misfit138
That's good, but... um.... where?

Double thanks (implementation, citation).
I could of sworn that I searched for "read" but apparently I'm
a) too tired
b) blind
c) an idiot
d) mnemonically impaired
or a combination of the above.
