Outdated iwidgets PKGBUILD

Hi all --

I'm trying to install iwidgets onto an Arch64 thinkpad using the AUR. The current version of this package, http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=12047 , has been tagged as out of date, and when I try to install using the tarball available there it tells me that the package is not available for x86_64 architectures. I have tried using makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD to update the PKGBUILD, but this does not solve my particular problem.

Does anybody have a suggestion for a workaround? Or, is there a kind soul out there willing to update this package? I have been trying for hours to build incr Widgets from the tarball available here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/incrtcl/files/

but I can't figure out where pacman has put itcl and its relevant configuration files, which seems necessary for the configure script...

Much appreciated!

Re: Outdated iwidgets PKGBUILD

Edit the arch field in the PKGBUILD. makepkg -g generates checksums, and has absolutely nothing to do with system architecture.

The package is orphaned, so you can be the kind soul who updates it, if you want. Bear in mind, though, that although the 4.0.1 release is the most recent, it dates from 2002. yikes

Re: Outdated iwidgets PKGBUILD

I tried editing the arch field... no luck there. I guess I will have to install it directly from the tarball. I'll see what I can do about updating the AUR if I can get this working.

Well, could anyone tell me how to figure out where pacman put, for instance, the itcl files, especially the configuration file? (I built itcl using the AUR also... would it be in the directory of the itcl PKGBUILD?) This is not immediately obvious to me, and I need it to install iwidgets.

Re: Outdated iwidgets PKGBUILD

pacman can list the files of any package, whether installed or not. THe man page has the details.
