Package changes

Hi everybody.
How I can know about changes of some package (not a package but program that package contains)? Something like "Whats new in ver x.x.x" or "Recent changes"? Is there exist some way to get this "Whats new" in Arch? Or I must link to developers site and search that changes on it?

Re: Package changes

You can also check the web svn for the package, for example http://repos.archlinux.org/wsvn/package … ra-x86_64/
At least there you can see why the package was updated. It doesn't really show a proper change log because as B said, that's all provided upstream.

Re: Package changes

Some packages do indeed ship with a changelog.  pacman -Qc $pkgname

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.
