Hello,
in the past connecting Blackberry over USB invoked automount dialog and microSD card was recognized as USB device. This is no longer the case though after connecting Blackberry device is listed in lsusb output.
I do not have problems with USB pendrive mounting (neither with any other media)
My system:
Arch i686 up to date
KDE 4.3.3
kernel 2.6.31.6
hal 0.5.13-3
Is there any way to fix this?
thank you
note
I changed title, see my post #4

Can you mount it manually in a terminal?

Which "automount dialog"? KDE? Some specifics would help. Also check dmesg after you plug it in to see if the kernel recognised the new block device.

it looks like this problem is related to the new microUSB connector. Old microUSB works but the new one does not. So problem is still open: how to make linux recognize latest microUSB connector?

see above: only kde is listed, as far as I know command line does not have "automounting dialog"

no I can't /dev/usb is not created.
But as I mentioned this seems to be related to the new microUSB as old version of microUSB works
to summarize
microUSB type A is recognized
microUSB type B is NOT recognized
