Intel Video 3D Problem

Hi there!

I'm having some issues with the Intel Video Chipset in my Dell D400 Laptop.
The Video Hardware is an Intel 855GM, I'm running a 2.6.32 kernel (no Vanilla, KMS enabled, i915 module loaded), Xorg-Server 1.7.2-2 and xf86-video-intel 2.9.1-1.
My problem is that only root has 3d hardware acceleration (~90 FPS in Tuxracer).
When running as normal user, i'm getting extremely low framerates, < 1 FPS. After a few seconds, X freezes, but the system can still be shut down.
The video device is under /dev/card0, and both Root (Owner) and Video (Group) have rw rights, the user is in the video group.

I'm not using any xorg config at the moment, but Xorg.log states that UXA/DRI2 is used.

I hope that someone can help me getting to the root of the crashes? I'm at a loss here.

Cheers,

Steffen
