dual network cards

I have two network cards in my computer. Which one will be eth0? Now I only load the module for one of them (I think eth1, according to hwd anyway) but the settings for my ip a.s.o. is for eth0. Will this be a problem when I load the module for the other one?

Why do I need two then? Well, I want to use the second one to connect to my other computer and I want my other computer to be able to connect to the internet. Like internet connection sharing or what it's called under windows. How can I make this happen?

Re: dual network cards

1) i think the first module you load will be eth0 ... and if not, then you must give the module some parameters (never did this myself, so it's maybe a wrong guess)

2) NAT routing
