#archlinux won't let me "speak in this channel"

Hi group,

When I try to talk to #archlinux in Chatzilla, my msgs appear but also this:

===    #archlinux Please register with services and use the IDENTIFY command (/msg nickserv help) to speak in this channel

and my messages go unheeded.

I'm using a registered, unique nickname, why do I keep getting that message from the channel?

Are you using the IDENTIFY command?

Have you tried writing

/msg nickserv help

in the freenode main window?
