Re: MS Security Chief Says Windows is Safer Than Linux

I saw that too - I like that he basically said "Windows 2003 is better now because we've patched it like 20 times in the last year... and Red Hat has patched like once"

duh, the number of security patches is a sure sign you have a great piece of crapware

It's a quite intelligent anti spyware software, that removes the source of all spyware - after some time (and spyware), it simply removes Internet Explorer big_smile

Re: MS Security Chief Says Windows is Safer Than Linux

um what is so new about these claims? MS has been making them for about three or more years now. You should note that the "tests" or evidence is thin and the wording is to suck those who have limited knowledge into believing their spin.

All I know is that for the very short time I ever used Windows at home I got a virus once .... and that was my own stupid fault. However, there were hundreds attempts every month by jerkwads attempting to compromise my system. The code on alot of MS software is just so bad for security.

Using Linux or OS X I got one small nonthreatening virus. That was two years ago and I have not had anything since tightening my security.

Eh? MS Antispyware doesn't remove IE... That originated at BBSpot, it's funny but bogus. :? (It would work better if it did remove IE though...)

I just assumed it was a joke. Seriously though, would you want anti-spyware tools made by MS sitting around on your system. Talk about a false sense of security for people that don't know any better.
