Not sure what to do with your partition table but there you go. Better commands are df -h or du with all its flags to check disk usage. There is also xdiskusage.

Also, where does yaourt store its packages? It is not /var/cache/pacman/pkg, is it?

Re: yaourt errors No space left on device??? [SOLVED]

There's a known problem in the library that yaourt/pacman use that sometimes results in crazy large download files. Check your /var/pacman/pkg/cache (or whatever order that is supposed to be in) to see if you gained a crazy large file.

Alternatively, do a 'du -hs /*' as root.

Re: yaourt errors No space left on device??? [SOLVED]

thanx guys..... maybe I did have too many files in my cache after all.... but im not sure how much it was taking up, as I did a "sudo pacman -Scc" which completely
cleared my cache before I checked what was taking up that space....... I can't imagine anything in there would of taken the 7gigs remaining on that partition though....
but none the less..... i am able to install using yaourt just fine now.......

ahwell, its all good now.
thanx.
