I have looked over all the information with patching and getting everything installed, and that is all working without issue.
The problem that I am currently having is that I can not get the web interface stable.
I does not even work long enough for me to add a VM to the inventory. Even if I manually add one to the xml, I do not have enough time to even start it up before the web interface locks up and needs to be restarted.

I was not able to locate any good information on this subject and knew that someone would be able to point me in the right direction here.

I am the only one having huge instabilities with the vmware server web interface on 2.0.1 and 2.0.2?

Also, I just installed Gentoo with 2.6.30 genttoo-r5 kernel and things seem stable. worked on my ubuntu 8.10 box as well with 2.6.27 kernel.
could it really be that the 2.6.31 kernel screwed up vmware server this bad... ugh
