no sound for flash videos

hey all i just installed archx86_64 fresh on my laptop. everything works great but for some reason flash videos dont play sound.  im using the alsa driver for sound and i installed flash with pacman. everything is working great and ive checked multiple times to make sure nothing is muted.  flash videos in general play pretty bad on my comp but i just thought that was because adobe sucks for linux.  maybe it has a connection?

you might want to change the title to "[SOLVED] no sound for flash videos" then (edit your first post and change title), so people know its been solved.  Also, when you figure out a problem, try posting your solution, so people reading this post later will know how to solve it
