Splix samsung printer not able to print acroread files

I am able to run my samsung printer and print from all other types of files except from acroread

I get the following information:

SpliX Request: cannot load printer information

Can any one help

just as a work-around, can you still print the pdf from the command-line with lp?
I'm assuming acroread stores the currently viewed file in /tmp, so it should be as simple as
lp /tmp/your_file.pdf and then bam, you're printing.
